Art therapy uses the creative process of making art to improve a persons mental, physical, ad emotional well-being.

Meet Shalee

Shalee Stevens

Hello!

I am currently a student at Texas A&M University-Commerce and will graduate in August. In my spare time, I like to read and travel with my family. I have a bearded dragon, a uromastyx, a hedge hog, and a dog.

My clients often come to counseling feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and irritated by everyday interactions. Children and teens may have increased conflict at school or home, decreased motivation, lack of engagement, or avoiding activities that were previously enjoyable. They may be feeling sad or empty, and may have thoughts of suicide. Parents may be feeling confused and helpless watching their children struggle to manage daily life.

Through the use of mindfulness strategies, DBT and CBT, as well as EMDR, art, play, and sand tray modalities, I am able to help my clients reconnect with their inner wisdom and increase their experience of calm, connection, and clarity.

Email or call to see if we’re a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
